Why is it important to have your updated CV readily available!

📊 When it comes to senior roles such as CFOs, companies will rarely post on job board to recruit.

They tend to use recruiters to find a confidential replacement.

As such, roles like these are rare.

⌛ Years ago, a well-known brand reached out to me to hire a CFO for a confidential assignment.

🔴 I called 10 candidates that morning.

🔴 7 of them sent me their CVs right after the phone call.

🔴 The remaining 3 said they would need time to update their CVs and email me a few days later.

⚡ That afternoon, I sent off 7 CVs.

⚡ 2 Days later, the client picked 4 candidates to interview out of the 7 CVs I sent over.

⚡ 3 Days later, the 3 candidates just emailed me their CVs.

⚡ 7 Days later, the client picked the 2 out of 4 candidates for 2nd round and 3rd round interview.

The 3 new candidates asked me about the status.

I told them that they were late – even though it was only 3 days of difference.
