🍟 My candidate and I plan to have Mc Donald breakfast if he passes his final round interview next week!

Like all jobs, there are ups and downs of being a recruiter/coach.

☀ But today let’s share some joy despite a slow economy!

⌛ Last month I reached out to my candidate to see if he is interested in my new role.

This new role requires a high standard of English.

I remind him that all rounds of interviews will be conducted in English.

📚 My candidate has been working in local banks but always want to switch to foreign banks.

Different from other candidates who always rely me on to research the company, he stood out because of his proactiveness.

📕 Before each interview, he would send me a list of answers that he prepared for the interview and asked me to go through a mock interview with him in English.

📺 He even joked with me that he has started watching an episode of The Office on Netflix daily to practise and familiarise himself with certain office terms since he received his first interview invitation.

He passed through 3 rounds of interview and next week would be his final round.

🏆 He said if he did get an offer after next week, we should celebrate with Mc Donald (as we both share the love of Chicken Mc Nuggets).

🍟 I suggested that we should do Mc Donald breakfast instead because it tastes better!

🤞 Fingers crossed and hopefully he would pass his final round next week and we could enjoy the breakfast together.

But even if he didn’t land an offer,

❇ the journey of working with someone who puts in effort really touches me.

❇ his proactiveness would bring him to success in the future.

There is only so much help I can guide for each person.

At the end of the day, you are in charge of your career and life and your proactiveness determines how far you can go.

🔆 You can take massive actions and make your life fulfilling.
