Jobs I Picked Up This Week... While on Holiday 🎾 + A Travel Tip

I decided to take a week off to reward myself because I worked hard in Q2 and Q3 this year!!

Yes, my October revenue will likely be low... or even zero.

But I needed a holiday to reset my mind 🧘‍♀️

So I went to Shanghai to watch my first ever tennis match.

The Rolex Shanghai Masters 🎾 (Anyone else went?)

And I made one big mistake!!

I bought a 1GB daily SIM card. I instantly regretted it 😅

Because while I was away, my clients reached out to me to hire and my data RAN OUT 📵

Here are the jobs that I picked up for myself and others:

🔹 Finance Manager — Private Equity, HK$65k (HK)

🔹 Finance AVP — Private Equity, HK$90k (HK)

🔹 CFO — Manufacturing (Zhejiang)

🔹 COO — Manufacturing (Zhejiang)

🔹 Alternative Investment Analyst — Bank, 12-month contract (Singapore or HK)

🔹 Deputy Head of Trade Operations — Bank, HK$110k (HK)

Grateful that my colleague also picked up a role for me 🙏

🔹 Finance Director — Hedge Fund, HK$140k monthly (HK)

TRAVEL TIP: Buy a bigger data SIM card (especially if you're in sales like me!!!) 📱

I genuinely thought 1GB a day would be enough.

Turns out:

❌ Clients wanted Zoom video calls and online audio calls

❌ I needed Didi for taxis, local maps, and GPS to get around

❌ 1GB is NOT enough for daily use!!!

Lesson learned.

Next time I travel, I'm getting at least 3GB daily so I never miss a client call or a video meeting again.

The hustle doesn't stop, even on holiday 💪
