The Hottest Job in Sep 2026 + My Q3 Wrap Up 📊

Happy Holidays! 🎉 I hope everyone managed to take a proper break yesterday.
Since it's the start of October, I wanted to summarise my Q3 and share the hottest job I've seen all quarter.
🔥 The hottest role in September?
PA/EA/Receptionist and Secretary roles on the buy side
(Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Asset Management) in Hong Kong.
In September alone, I picked up at least 6–7 hiring mandates from my buy side clients
ALL looking for PA/EA/Receptionist or Secretary.
And the salary range?
It varies wildly from HK$25k to HK$65k monthly 💰
To candidates:
If you're being paid below market, I highly encourage you to switch during this hot window.
Once you miss it, it's unlikely you'll get a big increment just from a salary adjustment at your current firm.
Windows like this don't stay open forever ⏳
To hiring managers:
If you can sense your EA/PA is about to leave, feel free to DM me for hiring mandates 📩
Now, my Q3 wrap up.
Honestly?
I was a bit disappointed and frustrated with myself 😔
My Q3 revenue came in roughly HK$100k lower than Q2 despite working harder in Q3 than I did in Q2.
I was really hoping Q3 would exceed Q2.
It didn't.
And that's the reality of recruitment:
Effort and results don't always move in the same direction.
But today marks the beginning of Q4.
Time flies! ✨
New quarter, clean slate. Let's go 💪
So tell me 👇
How was your Q3?
Did it go the way you planned?
And for my PA/EA/Secretary connections — are you seeing this hiring wave too?
