💫 Focus on INCREASING your income instead of saving more!

Over the past few years, I have heard the following multiple times:

💬 Your chicken breast salad is expensive! It’s HK$58 (SGD 10) – why not eat something cheaper?

💬Your personal trainer is pricy – Why not gym on your own?

💬The economy is bad now – Cut your spending! 

After I graduated, my first credit card was the Citi Cash Back card.

Like all cash rebate cards, it gives you 1-2% rebate, similar to buying things at a discount.

💳 I have been using this card for 9 years because I have been taught at a young age to keep SAVING.

Parents/Schools/Friends/Colleagues have always taught us to save more for the future.

💰 Granted – Savings are important – I usually save at least 50% of my paycheque monthly.

But how come no one ever teaches us to

✅ make more money?

✅ write a good CV/LinkedIn? 

✅ climb the corporate ladder?

✅ negotiate for salary increase?

✅ promote our visibility?

✅ have a side hustle?

✅ invest for passive income to increase our total income?

Therefore, 2 weeks ago,

I decided to replace this Cash Back card with Premier Miles card.

WHY?

The reason is simple:

☀️ I want to change my mindset from scarce to creating MORE income☀️

Every month, I spend around HK$15,000 excluding rent/mortgage (SGD2,600).

Even if I use the cash rebate card, saving 2% of that HK$15,000, it only saves me $300 monthly (SGD 50).

✍🏻 I even sat down during one weekend to think of ways to reduce my expenses but I really could not.

Then I realised:

☀️ Why don’t I focus on making more instead of saving more?

☀️☀️There are only so much you can save, but there are much more potential to your earnings!

That’s the moment I replaced my credit card with the new Premier Miles Card because…
