A Day in the Life of a Recruiter: It's Never Boring! 🤩

Many ask if I'm bored after nearly 8 years in recruitment.

Honestly? Some days yes.

💡 But the secret to keeping my passion alive is injecting new challenges and experiences.

Writing on LinkedIn ✍️ and connecting with this amazing community is a huge part of that!

So, what does a typical day look like? Let's dive in! 👇

🕒 8:00 AM – Rise and shine with a coffee fix

I start my day at a cozy café in Central. I love reading and yes, I do my best thinking with caffeine in hand. ☕

🕘 9:00 AM – Coffee chat with a client or candidate

Networking is everything. Whether it’s catching up with a hiring manager or chatting with a superstar candidate, these conversations keep things fresh and human.

🕙10AM –12:00 PM – Back to the office & dialing time

Time to hit the phones! I check in with clients to see who’s hiring and what kind of talent they’re looking for. Think of it as matchmaking — but for jobs. 💼

🕛 12:00 PM – Gym session + lunch break

Because mental clarity needs physical movement! I head to the gym, then grab a quick bite. Self-care is non-negotiable.

1:30–5:30 PM – Detective mode: Candidate hunting 🕵️‍♀️

Time to dive into LinkedIn and our company database to hunt for top talent.

This part of the day is like a treasure hunt — except the prize is finding the perfect fit for a role.

5:30–6:00 PM – CV prep & send-off

Final touches on CVs, format them beautifully (yes, presentation matters!), and hit send. Crossing fingers for those “Yes, we want to interview this person!” replies.

🕖 Home for dinner

Nothing beats winding down with family or friends over a good meal.

🕖 8–10 PM – Reflect, plan, and brainstorm

Evenings are sacred for journaling the day’s wins and lessons, planning tomorrow’s moves, and brainstorming ideas for my next LinkedIn post.

It’s my way of staying ahead — and keeping the content train rolling. 🚂
