💸 Inflation Is Killing Me!

When I thought I could finally relax after reaching basic financial freedom… or even consider upgrading to a nicer place…
Reality hit me hard!
Turns out I need to keep investing just to maintain the same standard of living.
Recently:
- My landlord informed me rent will go up 10–15%.
- My gym raised personal training fees by 7%.
In Hong Kong, property prices have dropped.
But rents have surged as more people choose renting over buying.
Even though my commission this year is higher than last,
I feel my income still can’t catch up with inflation.
It’s a reminder that financial freedom isn’t a finish line.
It’s a moving target.
👉 Maintaining your lifestyle requires consistent investing, not just saving.
This made me reflect:
Inflation doesn’t just eat into our wallets, it challenges our mindset.
