š How to Grow Your LinkedIn and get speaking gigs?

Looking back, Iāve been writing LinkedIn articles for over 2 years.
During this time, Iāve received countless DMs asking:
āHow do I grow my followers on LinkedIn?ā
āHow do I be a speaker? Do I apply directly?ā
š¤ Most people want to know how to land speaking gigs, become a judge, or secure brand sponsorships.
But to be honest, I never started writing for those reasons.
I write because I want to share my career insights as a recruiter and to motivate myself to keep moving forward in an uncertain global economy.
Still along the way, Iāve picked up a few lessons about growth that I want to share.
Here are my observations š
1. Post 3 times a week
- My impressions improved when I posted consistently.
- The new algorithm rewards regular activity.
2. Post on weekdays, less on holidays
- People are offline when traveling, so save your best content for workdays.
3. Tell personal stories
- Wins, failures, lessons learned
- these resonate far more than generic advice.
4. Use your own photos
- Posts with your face tend to perform better.
- The algorithm favours authenticity.
5. Be authentic and creative
- Iāve noticed that AI-generated content often feels generic.
- Your unique voice is what sets you apart and put your article on the newsfeed.
6. You don't need to be a Top Voice now to get views
- The new algorithm now pushes anyone's article to the top of the newsfeed if they perform well.
But the hardest part is....
Consistency.
Coming up with fresh ideas week after week isnāt easy.
My brain is always stuck after a long day of work or when I am lazy.
Thatās why I push myself to constantly read, observe, and reflect on my surroundings
If I don't read or experience new things, I am unable to write any articles..
š¬ Now Iād love to hear from you:
- How long have you been writing on LinkedIn?
- What patterns have you noticed with the algorithm?
