✨Reaching Lean FIRE (Financial Independence) 💼

Thanks to the gains I made from US stocks, I now have more capital to invest in dividend stocks.
If I keep saving aggressively and investing consistently through dollar-cost averaging, I expect to reach Lean FIRE early next year.
For those unfamiliar, Lean FIRE means my dividend income can cover my basic living expenses including rent, food, gym membership, even my beloved coffee ☕.
Over the past two years, I’ve saved almost 70% of my paycheck every month.
This wasn’t driven by luxury goals, but by a growing fear of layoffs.
News that’s been everywhere globally and every day.
I worry that AI or company restructures could affect me, so I’ve been preparing to protect myself financially.
Touch wood, if next year I face restructuring, I won’t have to stress about covering essentials.
Of course, if I want to splurge on a handbag, fine dining, or traveling to nice hotels, I would definitely need my salary!
That’s why I plan to keep investing even after reaching FIRE.
To build a buffer and hedge my portfolio.
Reaching Lean FIRE feels like a milestone I’m grateful for.
I believe I can reach Lean FIRE early is because I don't spend a lot...
I rarely shop for luxury items; maybe just one personal item a year.
This mindset has helped me save at least 60% of my income consistently.
Even though my passive income portfolio is still relatively small, it has lifted a significant burden off my shoulders.
✨ I don’t feel stressed going to work.
Instead, I feel a sense of calm and freedom.
Having genuine, relaxed conversations with candidates and clients over coffee, not just rushing to meet targets.
This freedom sparks creativity and drives me to find better ways to connect and grow my career.
Once you reach this stage, work no longer feels like a chore.
It becomes something you enjoy.
Are you close to reaching Lean FIRE?
✨ If you have reached it, how has it changed the way you feel about work?
