📊 Weekly Recruitment Update: Hedge Fund Hiring Heats Up

I had many article ideas this week, but one trend stood out so strongly that I had to share it.

In just two days (Monday and Tuesday),

I picked up three new hedge fund clients in Hong Kong.

The roles include:

Hedge Fund – Head of Finance

Hedge Fund – Finance Manager

Hedge Fund – IR Director

Hedge Fund – RO

Private Equity – Receptionist

That’s four hedge fund roles from three clients in 48 hours.

🔥 Why This Is Big News

For the past 2–3 years, most of my work has been on replacement roles.

This week is different.

These are new headcounts

A clear signal of growth.

The driver? Tax relief for hedge funds in Hong Kong.

This policy shift is sparking fresh hiring momentum, and hedge fund recruitment is suddenly hot again.

Though Singapore also has a similar policy, I am curious if Singapore or Hong Kong has more hiring demand in the HF space.

💡 What This Means for You

Candidates in hedge funds: This is the moment to explore opportunities.

Finance professionals: New headcounts mean upward mobility, not just backfills.

Market watchers: This is a sign of confidence returning to Hong Kong’s financial sector.

📝 Thought to Leave You With

Hiring trends are more than numbers.

They’re signals of where capital, confidence, and opportunity are flowing.

This week’s surge tells me one thing:

Hong Kong hedge funds are back on the front foot.

If you’re in the market, don’t wait for the wave to pass — ride it. 🌊

If you see me running around in Central, Admiralty, Wanchai, it should be me grabbing coffee with hiring managers!
