🚀 My Survival Plan When AI Replaces My Job in 3–5 Years

I was chatting with a client recently.

His company is building an AI‑powered recruitment system, and he admitted that once it’s ready, his HR team (including himself) might be gone in just 2 years.

Why?

Because the system can already do about 80% of what a senior recruiter does.

It can

- source candidates across platforms

- prioritise CVs

- compare profiles automatically

Once perfected, he plans to sell it to corporates so they can cut costs by replacing in‑house HR or TA teams.

That conversation hit me hard.

If his role can be replaced, mine could be too.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if AI takes over my job in the next 3–5 years 🤖

So here’s the burning question:

How do I prepare now, before white‑collar jobs start disappearing faster than we expect?

Here’s my survival plan (still a work in progress 💡):

💰 Save aggressively — build a financial cushion while I can.

📈 Maximize earnings — take advantage of the present while opportunities are still abundant.

🏦 Invest wisely — channel my salary into passive income streams to prepare for a future where jobs may be scarce.

🛠️ Diversify skills — experiment with selling skills outside my current role to see how I can generate income without a traditional job.

🔄 Switch to jobs that are harder to be replaced by AI (More physical and human interaction related)

This is just the beginning of my thought process, and I know I don’t have all the answers.

If you have any good ideas, feel free to share below!

As my favourite TV show says "Winter is coming"

Always prepare and be ready!
