📈 I Slacked Off at Work Lately

Because My Stock Portfolio Went Up..
Lately I've found myself a bit lazy at work...
📊 With both the HK and US stock markets rallying, my portfolio has seen some gains
Bringing me closer to my goal of financial freedom 🚀
🎤 But this lazy mindset has led to a dip in my work productivity
Even though I am bringing in sales revenue consistently every month..
This is not a great mindset! (Especially I am a recruiter myself, posting about career articles)
To address this, I tuned into a podcast discussing work motivation and money.
The author made a striking point:
if you want to feel motivated and work hard again, you need to feel poor.
✏️ This was quite new to me and I didn't know about this theory
I recalled the early part of last year when the market was down, and my revenue had plummeted.
I was hustling hard to capture every possible sale. 💪
🏠 I also thought back to three years ago when I emptied my savings for a down payment on my home.
That drive pushed me to work nonstop
Is motivation driven by the fear of having nothing?
🔖 I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!
How do you stay motivated, especially during the highs and lows?
Have you every slacked before because you know you made enough?
P.S. Photo of me and my mother. Do we look alike?
