How LinkedIn helped my colleague earn more (and how you can too) 🚀

I've been writing on LinkedIn for almost 3 years now.
And I'm grateful for every experience it has brought me. 🙏
Today, I want to share a real-life example of how my senior colleague used LinkedIn to capture deals.
He posts on LinkedIn weekly.
But here's the difference:
He focuses deeply on ONE sector he specialises in.
Recently, he landed a BIG assignment. 💼
And it all happened because of LinkedIn.
A new client searched on AI and asked:
"My company focuses on xxx sector. We want to hire a CEO in Hong Kong. Who would be the best recruiter to work with?"
The AI gave the client a few names.
Guess whose name popped up? 👀
The client reached out to my colleague directly.
No cold calls. No referrals. No middleman.
He didn't have to split a single dollar of referral fees with anyone. 💰
All he did was keep posting on LinkedIn, week after week.
And that consistency fed the AI one clear message:
💡 He is THE recruiter for that sector.
This is a real-life example of why being known as an industry expert matters.
Because when someone wants to hire for sales or a specific project.
Your name should be the first one that pops up. 🎯
That's not just luck.
That's personal branding doing the work for you, 24/7. 🤖
So here's my homework for you this week: 📝
How are YOU using LinkedIn to position yourself as the go-to expert in your field — the one AI recommends first?
Drop your answer in the comments. I'd love to hear it. 👇
