đź‘  Always Show Up as Your Best Self

If I were to share one piece of advice my mom gave me that truly stuck,

It would be this:

- Always put on make‑up and wear heels at work 💄

When I started my first job at Citi, rotating between Sales & Trading and Private Banking, I noticed how polished my female colleagues looked.

Long hours often meant little sleep, and sometimes I would show up without make‑up.

One day, I was helping my MD with account opening documents for a client.

I was dressed up. I had my make‑up on and heels.

The meeting went smoothly.

A month later, when the client came back to collect documents, I was exhausted from working late, wearing flats and glasses 🤓

To my surprise, the client didn’t even recognize me nor even said hi to me.

That was a bit embarrassing to me.

I promised myself I would always show up looking my best.

For nearly 10 years, I’ve stuck to that rule (unless I’m sick 🤒)

You probably also see me in heels and make up all the time in Central..even on Saturday and Sunday...

Of course, comfort matters too.

I was grateful to discover VIVAIA

Their heels that are chic, sustainable ♻️, and comfortable enough to wear all day.

They make it easier to keep my promise to myself.

✨ Why does this matter? Because opportunities are everywhere.

You might bump into your future employer in the lift 🚪 (like how I met the former CS Private Banking Director) or meet the love of your life..

Looking your best isn’t about vanity.

It’s about being ready

đź‘  My takeaway: Invest in yourself.

Present your best self every day.

Because you never know what doors might open. 🌟

P.S. Thanks for inviting me to the after work event at your shoe store!
