Last week, I had the chance to catch up with Eric Sim during his brief visit to Hong Kong.
I suggested we meet at LQV in Wan Chai (One of my favourite wine bars!)
To my surprise, despite living in HK for 10 years and knowing every cha chaan teng and rooftop bar in town, Eric had never been there.
It felt great to introduce him to a new spot!!!
(Sense of achievement when you introduce a new spot to tourists and they love it!!)
💡 Eric gave me practical tips to sharpen my LinkedIn presence:
- Keep headlines short & memorable
- Post consistently (2–3 times a week)
- Never give up as growth takes time and persistence
I also shared my own routine:
☀️ Every morning, I dedicate one hour to brainstorming LinkedIn ideas and reading nonstop before work.
It’s my way of building habits that compound over time.
I have met a lot of people offline because of LinkedIn.
Because of the interactions, it made me a better person because you can learn from someone (unless if they are super negative, avoid at all costs!!! Experience taught me you can rarely turn someone negative to positive!!!)
✏️ LinkedIn has become my regular journal:
A place to share stories, lessons, and even failures, so we can all grow together.
✨ Now I’d love to hear from you: If you had to commit 1 hour every day to a single habit, what would it be?
