What I Learned as a World Cup Judge at Enactus šŸŒ Never Limit Yourself

ree

I’m back in Hong Kong after an inspiring trip to Bangkok, where I had the honor of serving as a World Cup Judge for Enactus.Ā

The experience left me feeling refreshed, energized, and deeply reflective.

Here are a few key takeaways:

🌐 Global perspective is everything.

If you think you're the best in your country, try stepping onto a global stage.Ā

I met students from all over the world.Ā

They are brilliant, competitive, and wildly creative.Ā

It was a reminder that excellence knows no borders.

They also taught me to be more humble.Ā

šŸ¤ My Global Connections Elevated my mindset

I connected with fellow judges from places like South Africa and Thailand.Ā

Some were so impressed by the student projects, they offered to sponsor their startups on the spot.Ā

That kind of support is powerful and contagious.

It also shows how small my mindset is compared to other judges. While thinking sponsoring the students' flight tickets are generous, they brought me to a next level. They really sponsored and injected capital to their projects instead.

If I stayed within my circle in Hong Kong, I would not have broadened my perspective.Ā

šŸ’¬ Your voice matters. Never Limit Your Success.

If I didn't write on LinkedIn, I would be one of the many normal recruiters. Sending CVs every day. Trying to close deals every day. Making Commission in HK.

But because of LinkedIn, it gave me a chance to bring a bigger impact to HK and now outside of Hong Kong. It gave me a larger purpose than just my job.Ā

None of these connections and opportunities to expand beyond Hong Kong would’ve happened if I hadn’t started sharing my journey on LinkedIn.Ā

Writing here has opened doors I never expected and I encourage you to do the same.Ā

Share your insights. Be heard. You never know who’s listening.

And you never know where your stories will bring you to.

P.S. Taking professional/LinkedIn photos are so much cheaper in Bangkok compared to Hong Kong!
