The Tai Po Fire Accident Made Me Reflect on What Truly Matters in Life

This past week has been a sad one for Hong Kong.
The fire accident in Tai Po left many families grieving, with lives lost and homes destroyed.
Like many others, I felt sad and unsettled.
I even left work earlier than usual, because the tragedy reminded me of something simple yet profound:
I want to spend more time with my family and loved ones.
For years, I’ve measured success through work and income.
But moments like this remind me that while money is important to a certain extent
Time is far more precious.
After reaching a basic financial threshold, what truly matters is the quality of time we share with the people who mean the most to us.
This incident has shifted my perspective:
🕰️ Time > Money
❤️ Family > Work
🌍 Gratitude > Ambition
I sincerely hope such tragedies never happen again.
In the meantime, let’s hold our loved ones closer, be grateful for what we have, and extend help to those in need.
