My Birthday Wishes 🎂
Yesterday was my birthday
As usual, I took the day off
My company offers birthday leave to all employees, and I always use mine on the actual day.
But something strange happened.
When I sat down alone to think about my birthday wishes... I came up with none.
Remember last year?
I treated myself to a luxurious spa day and a branded handbag 👛
This year, I browsed online for another handbag. Maybe a pair of earrings.
And I realised... I had no desire to buy anything.
Despite earning more this year, I have zero incentive to shop for my birthday.
I don't know why.
So I forced myself to come up with a few birthday wishes and they turned out to be the macro goals I've shared before:
🔹 Be fitter, physically
🔹 Be better in my career — break my previous revenue record, grow my followers, increase my impact on society
🔹 Take more risks
🔹 Publish a book 📖
(For the finance nerds: yes, financial freedom is on the list. But since my rent went up, I need to save an additional HK$1.5 million — and I know I'll hit it in 2–3 years with aggressive saving. So that's a plan, not a wish 💰)
I guess I'm simply grateful for what I already have. I don't think I need more.
(I sound like an old lady... 😂)
My real wish is simple:
To keep writing and working on the things I truly enjoy until the very moment I die ✍️
Now excuse me, I'm back at the office.. calling clients and sending CVs 💪
