🏁 “It’s Too Late” — Or Is It?

In recruitment, timing is everything.

And last week, I thought I’d missed the boat.

I called a client just to check in

Only to find out they were already deep into interviews.

Two rounds done.

One finalist left.

☎️ I was late.

Most recruiters would’ve backed off.

But I asked one more question:

“What’s the background of your finalist?”

As they described the candidate, I realised something:

I had two stronger profiles.

Right there on the call, I pitched both.

The client paused.

Then said, “Send them over. We’ll hold the final round.”

🔥 That moment reminded me: You’re never out of the game until the contract is signed.

Whether it’s recruitment, business, or life

🏅 Don’t count yourself out too early.

Push. Ask. Show up. Even when it feels like you’re behind.

Because sometimes, the finish line isn’t where you thought it was.
