👩‍🎓 Daughter – you are making less this year….

🍚 My father made this comment during dinner

I almost choked and wanted to rebut him that

“Why don’t you try to do business and get a sales job and see how much you can earn this year”

But I held back my words…

🗃 Instead I went back to my room and took a piece of paper and pen out

I listed out my income breakdown:

💰 Salary = Base + Commission

💶 Passive Income = Dividend + Rental + Stock Gains

📉 My total income (active + passive) was down 30% this year.

I had to figure out ways to improve.

I need to be realistic.

We brainstormed:

🧠 What are the controllable?

For Salary:

🧠 Are there realistic ways to increase your base salary or commission?

🧠 Do I outperform others that I can qualify for a salary raise?

🧠 How can I land more business deals despite a tough market?

Outside of your job:

✏ Are there things we can add to the formula?

✏ Such as running a side hustle/ doing freelance projects?

✏ How can I drive more stock gains and dividends?

What I am always striving for is:

50% from Salary + 50% from Passive Income
